How we collect and use (process) your personal information
When you make an enquiry we collect information about you including (but not limited to) your name, phone number, email address and address. This is in the event that we need to contact you.
Depending on the enquiry you have we may collect additional information about your company, products, credit check and other contacts where appropriate. This information makes sure we deliver the highest standards of customer care and the most appropriate solution for you. AC Plastics Limited may use this information to help the us understand our client’s needs and preferences to better tailor our products and services to meet your needs. We will keep this information for a minimum of 3 years from the date of your last enquiry in the event we need the information contained in these records.
AC Plastics Limited relies on consent and legitimate interest as the lawful bases under GDPR Article 6 for processing clients’ personal information.
Google Analytics
The IAPP uses Google Analytics to track how often people gain access to or read our content. We use this information in the aggregate to understand what content our members find useful or interesting, so we can produce the most valuable content to meet your needs. We do not track individuals but look at information in the aggregate only.
Your correspondence with AC Plastics
If you correspond with us by email, the postal service, or other form of communication, we may retain such correspondence and the information contained in it and use it to respond to your enquiry; or to keep a record of your complaint and the like. As always, if you wish to have AC Plastics erase your personal information or otherwise refrain from communicating with you, please contact us at [email protected].
Note: if you ask AC Plastics Limited not to contact you by email at a certain email address, AC Plastics will retain a copy of that email address on our “master do not send” list in order to comply with your no-contact request.
Purposes for processing your data
As explained above, AC Plastics processes your data to provide you with the goods or services you have requested or purchased from us, including products and services. We use this information to ensure the products and services we provide are safe and delivered to the highest standards and to better tailor them to your needs. We may also communicate with you about other services AC Plastics Limited offers that you may need.
Most of the time, AC Plastics needs to process your data to fulfil an order for goods or services, sometimes AC Plastics has a legitimate interest in processing data to better understand the needs, concerns, and interests our clients so we can improve our services to you. And sometimes AC Plastics relies upon your consent, in which case we will keep a record of it and honour your choices.
Payment card information
You may purchase goods or services from AC Plastics using a payment card. Typically, payment card information is provided directly by users, into a PCI/DSS-compliant payment processing service to which AC Plastics subscribes, and AC Plastics does not, itself, process or store the card information. Occasionally clients ask AC Plastics’ employees to, on their behalf, enter payment card information into the PCI/DSS-compliant payment processing service to which the IAPP subscribes. We strongly encourage you not to submit this information by email. When IAPP employees receive payment card information from customers or members by email or phone, it is entered as instructed and then deleted or destroyed.
